1. Add Groups & Apps.

Click on the + icon in the sidebar to add a new group. This brings up the App Directory so you can choose your first app. You can find the app you want in the Directory, or click on the 'Add any Website' button and paste in any URL. Add more apps to this group by clicking on the + icon again, and selecting another app. You can add any webpage to your toolbars by using the right-click menu.

2. Sign-in to Multiple Accounts.

Most browsers have one cookie container for everything, and in Wavebox we call this the default cookie container - most of your apps will belong to it. But, if you need to stay signed-in to multiple accounts of the same type e.g. Gmail or Slack, then you'll need to add more cookie containers to keep them isolated from each other.

3. Tweak Sleep Settings.

Wavebox keeps your machine running efficiently by sleeping apps, tabs, and windows that are not active. Some apps still get notifications and unread badges when they are sleeping. Others need to stay awake to receive real-time updates. To change your sleep settings, right-click on any app icon and click on 'App settings > Account & Behaviour > Sleep tab after minutes of inactivity'.

4. Use App Tabs.

It's time to start using tabs in the right way! Wavebox helps you stay focused by having tabs in the main window under each app group. To create a new tab, click on the gray 'right' chevron in the top toolbar. There are different ways to display the tabs - right-click on the top toolbar and then 'tabs' to explore the various options.

5. Add Chrome Extensions.

You can add any Chrome extension to Wavebox. Just click on the + icon in the sidebar to open the App Directory, then click on the 'Add Extension' button. This will launch the chrome web store in a new window, where you can find your extension and add it to Wavebox using the blue 'Add to Wavebox' button.

6. Save Pages as Pins.

Hover over any app (circle icon) and you'll see a list of recently visited places. Simply click on the pin icon next to any of the pages to save it to the 'pinned' list. You can edit the name of your pinned pages by clicking on the pencil icon and customize where each pin opens e.g. in a new tab, in a new window etc.

7. Customize Link Opening Rules.

If you click on a Trello link in Gmail, and you have both apps added to Wavebox, the link will open in the correct place in the Tello app. That's the Link Engine. For the times when you want them to open somewhere else, such as in a tab or new window, you can customize where links open in Settings > General > Link Opening.

8. Create a Workspace.

Workspaces provide a central place to organize the apps/websites/pages you visit frequently. Workspaces are made up of widgets, and there is a library of widgets for you to choose from. You can also pin a workspace to a group, and select a workspace to show in all new tabs. You can keep them private or share them with a Connect team.

Use multiple profiles

9. Try Multiple Profiles.

Use Profiles to setup multiple Waveboxes on your computer. Each Profile has a main window with sidebar and secondary windows, and they are completely independent with their own theme, cookie containers, settings, passwords, extensions, notifications, groups, apps, etc. Use them to isolate work and home, or to keep a client's Wavebox separate from your own.

10. Chat, Call & Screenshare.

Wavebox supports chat, calls, video meetings, and screen-share straight from the browser - a service called Connect. Click on the blue speech bubble next to your extension icons, create a team and send some invites. Once connected, you can share workspaces (apps and links) and chat as you work across all your apps.
