The Great Ocean walk is one of Australia’s most popular Bucket List walks. Whilst the famous Great Ocean Road does not always follow the coastline, this walk allows you to go where the road does not. To walk the entire Great Ocean Walk from Apollo Bay to the impressive Twelve Apostles is a staggering 104 kilometres, taking around eight days. This Great Ocean walking holiday has been carefully curated so that you experience walking the best sections in just three days, allowing you to discover its exceptional natural beauty over a long weekend.

On this three day walking holiday you will experience a diversity of natural landscapes from majestic tall forests and coastal heath-lands to a dramatic coastline like no other with the sandstone sea stacks of the Twelve Apostles its impressive finale. Along the way you will be charmed by the abundant local wildlife you will encounter in this area. It is easy to spot koalas lazing in a gumtree, echidna and wallabies, as well as an array of bird life.

At the southernmost tip of Australia lies the spectacular peninsula of Wilsons Promontory National Park. Covering over 50,000 hectares this National Park is a landscape of rugged granite mountains, lush rainforests, pristine beaches and stunning coastline. Fringing the coastline also lies the Wilson Promontory Marine National Park which protect a network of underwater rocky reefs, colourful sponge gardens as well as offshore islands that support colonies of fur seals and penguins.

This three day walk has been carefully designed so you can experience a range of landscapes in the National Park from the mountains to the sea. On land you will enjoy a range of walking experiences discovering the spectacular landscapes of the north, west and east. Whilst by sea you will explore by boat to fully appreciate the beauty of the Marine National Park and access areas of the park not usually available in a day.

Covering 168,000 hectares the Grampians National Park is renowned for its outstanding mountainous scenery, a million years in the making. On this three day walking experience Life’s An Adventure have hand picked the best regions in the National Park including a section of the new Grampians Peak Trail.

You will explore the striking weathered peaks and escarpments, towering rock formations draped with rich forests, cascading waterfalls and fern filled gorges. Delight in the abundant bird and wildlife and 800 indigenous plant species, 20 of which are found nowhere else in the world and admire the ancient indigenous rock art, with this region having the largest number of rock art sites in southern Australia.

The wonderful Goldfields Track, in Victoria is a 210 kilometre walking trail linking the great goldfield towns of Ballarat and Bendigo. Originally known as the Great Dividing Trail, it follows pretty creeks, gullies and ridges of the Great Divide from the wet temperate forests at Daylesford to the dry northern plains.

On this three day walking holiday you will explore the highlights of this trail crossing rivers lined with ferns and discovering deep gullies covered with mine shafts as well as stone ruins and the relics of the gold rush 150 years ago. Along the way encounter an array of nectar feeding honeyeaters as well as colourful parrots.
