Our tours focus on the Great Short Walks of Tasmania, National Parks, wildlife, interpretation, history and culture.

All tours are fully guided by our trained Tour Guides with a focus on providing fun, informative, action-packed days out exploring in Tasmania. We visit amazing attractions in Tasmania such as Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay, Port Arthur, Mt. Field National Park, Hastings Caves, Tahune Airwalk and Maria Island. Choose from 1 day or multiple days of exploring.

Mount Field National Park offers a variety of walks in Tasmania’s oldest National Park.

Most famous for Russell Falls and the Tall Trees, we explore the various walks and regions of this diverse area which is only a 90-minute drive from Hobart. Easily Tasmania’s most recognisable waterfall, an easy and enjoyable walk along a beautiful track that takes us to the Horseshoe Falls.

We also make our way along the Tall Trees Track where high above us stand the giant 80-metre Swamp Gums. This is a series of short walks amongst the rainforest, eucalypts, streams and wildlife.

Further up we join the Pandani Grove Trail taking us around the alpine Lake Dobson. Soak up the wilderness and surrounding mountain air in this lesser visited region of the park. Enjoy a lunch break in one of the numerous beautiful settings at Mt. Field.

Continuing through the picturesque Derwent Valley, to Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary, home to rescued and well-loved wildlife. Tassie Devils, wallabies and local favourites are all here. To top off this very Tasmanian day we head to the summit of Kunyani/Mt. Wellington (1271m) Hobart’s iconic backdrop. The views from the top are breathtaking and vistas expansive.

Bruny is an island off an island off an island! Famous for its local produce and spectacular coastal scenery, we enjoy an amazing morning walk, optional seafood lunch and then indulge in Bruny’s delicious local fare in the afternoon.

Our adventure begins with a spectacular walk , following the Cape Queen Elizabeth trail. Explore the coastal heathland, take in the interseting rock formations and experience a large number of water birds as we pass through the Blue Lagoon. The walk is around 6 kilometres of easy, coastal walking over mostly flat terrain.

Next stop is the isthmus joining North and South Bruny island this area is known as The Neck where 279 stairs reward you with fantastic views!

Enjoy local history at Two Tree Point, Resolution Creek and Coal Point before arriving into Adventure Bay. Here you can relax on the beach with some free time , or you can join our guide for lunch at Bruny Island Cruises Seafood Restaurant.

We re-group after lunch for a leisurely afternoon discovering Bruny Island’s world-renown artisan produce. We make stops at Bruny Island Chocolate Company, Bruny Island Honey , Bruny Island Cheese Co., and Get Shucked Oyster Farm .

Wineglass Bay has been voted among the top beaches of the world. A perfect crescent shape, stunning colours and dazzling white sand make this one of Tasmania’s “not to be missed” locations.

Wineglass Bay is nestled in the Freycinet National Park on the East Coast. One of Tasmania’s first National Parks this is a coastal area rich in stunning landscapes. Pink granite mountains form the backdrop for secluded bays, pristine waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife and walking trails.

Highlights include Freycinet Marine Farm, Freycinet National Park, and Wineglass Bay Lookout. If you prefer to select the shorter walking option, then we return from the Lookout with our Guide and explore areas of the National Park. Visit Honeymoon Bay, Sleepy Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse & Great Short Walk. Optional longer walk to Wineglass Beach (2.5 hr return ).

Once on the beach you have time to take a swim, relax, eat your lunch or meander along the white sands.

We make a final stop at Kate’s Berry Farm. Reward your hiking efforts with delicious Berry Ice-creams, dessert or other sweet treats such as chocolates and jellies. ( This stop is subject to changeable opening hours. An alternative stop may apply)

During 3 action packed days, our BIG 3 Tasmania tour explores some of our Island’s most scenic and world-renowned locations. Start your journey with a huge day of out at Cradle Mountain World Heritage area, an area with amazing walks and scenery with a huge variety of walks to choose from in this stunning part of Tasmania. The walking options are flexible to suit guests.

Travel onwards to Hobart via Wineglass Bay lookout for some of the world’s best coastal scenery. Pink granite mountains form the backdrop for secluded bays, pristine waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife and walking trails.

Lastly, the final day will take you to the Tasman Peninsula, home to Australia’s highest sea cliffs. Enjoy the views from Pirates Bay Lookout, see the interesting Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen rock formations and enjoy a walk along the Waterfall Bay cliff top track.

Travelling onwards we visit the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo for an encounter with our local wildlife heroes! Then onwards to the Port Arthur Historic Site where you have around 2.5 hours to explore and walk amongst the history at the world heritage Port Arthur Historic Site.

This tour travels South of Hobart into the great Southern Forests, along the Huon River and Huon Valley.

Walk through the trees suspended 40 metres above ground.
Explore the Tahune Airwalk and to walk along the Cantilever, stretching for 597 metres through the treetops. Enjoy the sensation of being suspended above the Huon River with breathtaking views across the treetops and surrounding mountains. Time to explore and enjoy more walking is available. Take a 45 minute walk to the Swinging Bridges with a 50 metre span across the river, or a shorter 20 minute Huon Pine walk.

Then further south we drive to delve 40 metres underground into the vast chambers of a cave tour.The Hastings Cave Reserve is another spectacular place to enjoy a variety of activities. Bring your swimming gear and jump into the thermal springs with 28 degree water. Relax in the beautiful forest surrounds or wander the Hot Springs Nature Trail where the warm water meets cool.

The cave tour is conducted by the National Parks expert guides. Cave temperature is always 9 degrees so bring your jumper along. We head underground to explore this spectacular cave which is Australia’s largest tourist Dolomite Cave.

Cradle Mountain National Park is an area of world-famous scenery with a variety of walking trails to choose from.
With five hours to spend in the National Park, we leave our walking itinerary flexible to suit guests and weather conditions on the day.

Enjoy a stop in Sheffield the ‘town of murals’. Sheffield is a small and quirky village where the history of the Cradle region is depicted in artworks across the buildings.
Continue into the mountains and arrive at Cradle Mountain and Dove Lake. Our guides will assist to ensure everyone has an opportunity to enjoy short, or longer walks that best suit them.

Choose from the gentle and iconic Dove Lake Circuit or climb to loftier peaks to view the vastness of the surrounding World Heritage area from Marion’s Lookout. Enjoy lunch by a quiet stream, watch the famous and friendly Cradle wombats in their natural habitat. Cradle Mountain is the backdrop for a truly memorable and not to be missed Tasmanian experience.

On our return to Launceston, refresh and refuel at the delicious Van Dieman’s Land Ice Creamery and Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm. We return into Launceston around after a huge yet unforgettable day.

The BIG 3 Tasmania tour incorporates 3 action-packed days exploring Tasmania’s most iconic locations.

Day 1: Port Arthur & Tasman Peninsula – travel to the Tasman Peninsula, home to Australia’s highest sea cliffs. Enjoy the views from Pirates Bay Lookout and an easy hike on the Waterfall Bay cliff top track. We visit the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo for an encounter with our local wildlife, then onwards to the Port Arthur Historic Site where we explore this awesome World Heritage open-air museum.

Day 2: Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park – Bring your bags today as we travel from Hobart to Launceston. We travel through quaint seaside towns to Freycinet National Park. This coastal park has pink granite mountains, secluded bays, pristine waters and an amazing hike to see one of the world’s most famous beaches – the stunning Wineglass Bay!

Day 3: Cradle Mountain National Park – travels into the mountains and Tasmania’s renowned World Heritage area. Cradle Mountain hosts iconic scenery and amazing walking tracks. We enjoy a series of short walks before our longer hiking options, walk the easier Dove Lake track or climb to the lofty heights of Marion’s Lookout for spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness.

We depart Launceston ready for an action-packed day out exploring Wineglass Bay, Freycinet National Park and the delights & highlights along the way.

Our drive takes us through the Georgian townships of Evandale and Campbell Town. We stop in Campbell Town where you can collect some lunch for the day ahead.

We travel to the East Coast, where we catch an amazing view of the area at the Great Oyster Bay Lookout and an opportunity to purchase some fresh oysters.

Once inside Freycinet National Park we begin a series of walks. We walk as a group to the Wineglass Bay Lookout, this is a moderate uphill walk of around 45 minutes. Once at the top you are rewarded with that world – famous view of Wineglass Bay and the stunning Freycinet National Park. Enjoy the moment, take in the views and let our guides help you with those sought-after photographs. We return from the Lookout and explore other areas of Freycinet National Park. Visit Honeymoon Bay & Cape Tourville Lighthouse.

While still on the East Coast we make a final stop for the day, where you can try the local hand-crafted Ice creams or perhaps a famous Tasmanian Scallop Pie!

We head to the stunning Tasman Peninsula, home to Australia’s highest sea cliffs. Enjoy the panoramic views of the area from Pirates Bay Lookout, and along the spectacular Waterfall Bay Clifftop Track. This is one of Tasmania’s “Great Short Walks”, around 45 minutes, concluding at the rock formations of Tasman Arch and Devil’s Kitchen.

We then drive on to Port Arthur Historic Site. Discover the grim and violent history of the early Australian Penal system and get a sense of the isolation experienced by the convicts in this “inescapable prison”. With around 4 hours here, you have ample time to walk amongst the main penitentiary, see the solitary confinement cells and enjoy a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead.

On our return we arrive at historic Richmond Village. Meander the streets, stop for a coffee, and walk across Australia’s oldest bridge still in use – a convict built sand-stone bridge, reported to be haunted!

Finally, we arrive back into Hobart around 6pm.

Maria Island is a stunning island off an island National Park just a short 45 minute boat cruise off the East Coast of Tasmania. It is rich in local wildlife, amazing scenery and world heritage convict history. With no cars on the island, we enjoy a series of short walks exploring the beautiful Painted Cliffs, the dramatic Fossil Cliffs along with the remarkable Darlington World Heritage convict site, old Oast houses and the early settler’s cottages and farmsteads.

The island is a Noah’s ark for wildlife and is home to wallabies, kangaroo’s, rare Cape Barren Geese, wombats and the recently introduced Tasmanian Devil. Swim in the pristine sheltered bays overlooking Mercury Passage or snorkel in the crystal clear waters of the Marine Reserve. Watch out for dolphins, seals and penguins – even the odd whale – on your boat crossing to this island paradise.

This island is a world away on your doorstep from Hobart! This is a tour for active travellers who are keen to walk and enjoy this unique island. Join us on this day of discovery rich in environmental and cultural history.

Travel from Hobart to Launceston in 1 day via Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park. An action packed day tour, with sensational scenery, Great Short Walks, and many scenic stops along the way.

Explore Freycinet , famous for its rich and stunning coastal landscapes. Pink Granite Mountain, secluded bays, pristine waters, white sandy beaches, local wildlife, and amazing walking trails.

We walk as a group to the Wineglass Bay Lookout; this is a moderate uphill walk of around 60 minutes. At the top you are rewarded with a world famous view of Wineglass Bay and the surrounding National Park. Enjoy the moment, and take in the views.

From the Lookout you have the option to return with our guide to explore other parts of the National Park. Visit Honeymoon Bay, Cape Tourville Lighthouse & Sleepy Bay. , or for the keen hikers you can choose to enjoy the walk down to Wineglass Bay beach. This is a 2.5 hr return walk and moderate fitness is required

Travel from Launceston to Hobart in 1 day via Wineglass Bay & Freycinet National Park. An action packed day ,with sensational scenery, Great Short Walks, and many scenic stops along the way.

We travel through the well-preserved Georgian townships of Evandale and Campbell Town. We then explore Freycinet , famous for rich and stunning coastal landscapes. Pink Granite Mountain, secluded bays, clear water, white sandy beaches, local wildlife, and amazing walks.

We begin by stretching our legs on the Cape Tourville Lighthouse circuit and then head to the Wineglass Bay Lookout. Well worth the walk you are rewarded with a world famous view of Wineglass Bay and the surrounding National Park. Enjoy the moment, and take in the views.

From there you have the option to return with our guide to explore other parts of the National Park. Visit Honeymoon Bay, & Sleepy Bay , or for the keen hikers you can choose to enjoy the walk down to Wineglass Bay beach. This is a 2.5 hr return walk.

We re-group to make a final stop , where you can refuel in a friendly and relaxed location. Try the hand crafted Ice creams or maybe a famous Tasmanian Scallop Pie!

Just a short drive from here, we enter the Port Arthur Historic Site. Here you have around 2.5 hours to explore the site. Your entry includes a complimentary Harbour Cruise around the Isle of the Dead, ‘The Port Arthur Experience’ a podcast that provides a fascinating introduction to the site, and complimentary site talks throughout the day led by Port Arthur’s expert guides . Discover the violent history of the early Australian Penal system and get a sense of the isolation experienced by the convicts in this “inescapable prison”.

On our return , we arrive at historic Richmond Village. Meander the streets, stop for a coffee and walk across Australia’s oldest bridge. We arrive in Hobart around 6pm.
