Acclaimed French conductor Fabien Gabel returns to WASO to lead this concert of achingly beautiful music and Parisian passion.
One of Australia’s finest young violinists, Grace Clifford, brings finesse and elegance to Saint-Saëns’ Third Violin Concerto. Roussel’s ballet Bacchus et Ariane depicts the passions of ancient Gods in lavish orchestral colours before Ravel’s La valse provides an earth-shattering climax with a twisted and utterly enthralling finale.
