Astonishingly, Schumann’s First Symphony was conceived in only four days and completed in a month. Its youthful radiance, capturing the warmth and optimism of spring, made it an instant success. In the hands of Asher Fisch, it’s sure to delight.
Beethoven’s Violin Concerto is one of his most transcendent works, sublimely lyrical, tender and moving. Multi-award-winning German-Korean violinist Clara-Jumi Kang brings her impeccable refinement and poise to one of the greatest of all concertos.
