Cape Byron Distillery

Food and Wine Tours

Set in the hinterland of Byron Bay, Cape Byron Distillery is the home to Brookie’s Gin infused with 25 botanicals, 17 of which are native to the area.

At Cape Byron Distillery they keep true to the time honoured traditions and art of distillation whilst creating spirits that capture and showcase the unique terroir of Northern Rivers (greater Byron Bay region).

They have a passion for excellence, sustainability and giving back to the local community. They are here to create a new chapter in the book of Australian Distilleries.

Our tours kick off on the balcony of our distillery where you are greeted with a gin and tonic on arrival. After hearing a bit about our story, your guide will take you on a walk through our regenerated subtropical rainforest where you will become well acquainted with the native ingredients used in our gin. After that, we will come back up to the distillery to do a full guided tasting while sitting around our 2000L copper pot still and learn all about the art of distillation. After the tour, groups are more than welcome to hang out on the balcony and enjoy a seasonally crafted cocktail with a view of the macadamia orchard.
